Brand experience marketing will see its profile raised thanks to a strategy group meeting by the Direct Marketing Association (DMA).
By establishing a brand strategy group the DMA is attempting to give such marketing techniques greater credibility and position in the industry, reports mad.co.uk.
Robert Keith, director of media channel development, said: "The formation of a brand experience strategy group is further evidence of the rich variety and innovative growth within the direct marketing sector.
"The DMA can and will assist in what is sure to be a lively debate about the role and value of brand experience."
The strategy group will be chaired by the Carbon Marketing director Wendy Hooper and hopes to discuss such methods with a wide range of other DMA groups.
Ms Hooper said: "By creating this group under the umbrella of the DMA, we are able to embrace the benefits that it offers in terms of industry intelligence, research and legal advice as well as its understanding of where brand experience marketing is."
