UK retailers are already pushing their Christmas wares and B2B email marketing services should reflect this.
According to moneysupermarket.com’s shopping expert Simon James, there is likely to be a lot of advertising and promotion from high street retailers in the months ahead and consumers therefore need to keep an eye on their inboxes for email marketing promotions and other information.
He commented: “Christmas has already started as far as retailers are concerned, there’s likely to be a lot of messaging about beating the VAT increase in 2011.”
Mr James added that Brits should be aware email marketing offers will not last forever and there will come a point when the high street is the only option to get gifts this year.
Elsewhere, a recent survey from Shop.org revealed that online sales for retailers are likely to grow by 15 per cent this holiday season and this could be boosted by email marketing campaigns to highlight discounts and great deals for consumers.
