Business-to-business marketers looking to do their bit for the environment can opt to use the Envirlope.

Demonstrating green credentials can be positive for a brand’s reputation and the overall perception of marketing messages.

The new window envelope is said to reduce the carbon footprint of direct mailing campaigns by using completely biodegradable material in mail packs.

Mail and Print Services, which is marketing the new envelopes to direct mailing services, says that everything has been done to make the product as environmentally-harmless as possible.

According to the firm: “Substituting a paper-based transparent window is an environmentally caring solution from Mail and Print Services UK.

“The window film is a satin finish material made from a cellulose base wood pulp sourced from managed forests that meet the Sustainable Forestry Initiative standard.”

Royal Mail recently approved the product after the standards for Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Customer Barcode (CBC) were met.
