The majority of marketers are incorporating multimedia into their marketing campaigns, a new study reveals.

According to a survey from TurnHere, more than three-quarters (83.5 per cent) of brand and agency marketers incorporate online video into their marketing efforts in some form.

The study found that branded content is the preferred online video content type among respondents and elicits the highest overall satisfaction level.

Over half (57 per cent) of marketers questioned said they have created video content for the web, while 38 per cent said they have created editorial video content.

Around 40 per cent stated that they have used videos for product or service demonstrations and 37 per cent have used video for customer or employee testimonials.

Bud Rosenthal, chief executive of TurnHere, said: “Businesses of all sizes consider online video to be an integral part of their marketing mix. Online video is the number one priority among all online marketing tools for 2010.”

A recent report by Citibank and GfK Roper found that 42 per cent of small firms surveyed have increased their usage of the internet to generate leads within the last 12 months.
