Royal Mail has provided direct marketers with an easy way of getting their direct mail campaigns off the ground.

The new Mailshots Online service is targeting small-to-medium enterprises and allows firms to create personalised postcards and letters for their offline marketing drives.

Royal Mail claims the product is an easy-to-use direct mailing service – a campaign can be initialised in just half an hour.

Tim Rivett, head of small businesses at Royal Mail, said of the offering: “Royal Mail has a number of products and services that are designed to help the UK’s small and medium sized businesses to grow.

“The launch of Mailshots Online comes at a time when fast, tailored communications is crucial to business success.”

The new product follows Royal Mail’s initiative involving 100 small businesses, who have shared the secrets of their success in a specially-created growth section on the postal service’s website.
