The premier event for online marketing and analytics professionals, the eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit and the Search Marketing Expo (SMX) is to be held in Stockholm, Sweden later this year.

The eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit has been running in the USA since 2002 and is the leading industry event for web-based marketing professionals who are interested in optimising the value of their websites and web services.

Supported by the Web Analytics Association (WAA), the two day conference is chaired by internet marketing guru Jim Sterne, founder and president of the WAA.

The SMX conference explores the leading techniques for delivering qualified customers to websites and optimising the value of online marketing for both industry professionals and the consumers to which it is targeted.

SMX will focus on how professionals can fully utilize online marketing to bring the right people to their websites while eMetrics will demonstrate how all parties can achieve their objectives once they are there.

Anders Kasberg from the Swedish Direct Marketing Association, which is supporting the conferences said: “The search area has fantastically developed Direct Marketing, where the customer is in the initial stage of seeking contact with the company.”

He added: “We have only seen the beginning of this market. Everything indicates that this will continue to grow and we look forward to further exciting developments.”

The eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit and the Search Marketing Expo runs from October 29th to November 1st 2007.
