Timing is absolutely essential when it comes to sending out email marketing campaigns, according to Gather.

The social network explained that Monday is a good time to send email marketing content because after a long weekend, many email users tend to make it a priority to organise their inboxes, which means there is a good chance they will come across marketing emails and open them.

On the other hand, the negative side of sending emails on Mondays is that some consumers in the workforce do not have time to access their email during the day, so they might miss time sensitive messages.

Gather recommended that if marketers choose to send emails on a Monday, they should do so late in the morning when recipients are more likely to have time to check their inboxes.

The company urged marketers to avoid sending emails on Saturdays and Sundays because this can appear as being too intrusive and can end up isolating subscribers.
