Target email marketing campaigns have been named as one of the top tactics for strong return on investment (ROI).
The top tactic was cited as paid search, which 50 per cent of marketers said leads to the best ROI.
However, this was closely followed by email marketing, with 40 per cent of respondents nominating this as their most productive approach.
Affiliate marketing and behavioural targeting were also named as ways of establishing ROI. However, direct email marketing continues to remain a popular choice.
“More than 40 per cent of respondents noted that email marketing to their house lists had great ROI,” Marketing Sherpa explained.
The research firm went on to explain that email “requires far less budget than both, paid search and banner ads” suggesting “that is probably a prime reason why more than 90 per cent of marketers use email”.
