Omniture, a company known for its online business optimisation software, has been awarded a new United States Patent.

The patent is for a unique system of performance optimisation and real-time behavioural targeting and testing techniques, according to CNN.

Also included are the company’s exclusive methods of maximising cost-per-click (CPC) or cost-per-acquisition (CPA) yields.

Josh James, Omniture chief executive officer and co-founder told CNN: “Omniture’s technology leadership has resulted in significant innovations within our product line – many of which are now embodied within our patent portfolio.”

He continued: “We are committed to continuing the development of technologies that empower marketers and companies to improve business results by automating action on data.”

The new patent brings Ominture’s internal patent portfolio to over 100 US and foreign-issued patents world-wide.
