Businesses are increasingly investing more in internet marketing and direct mail campaigns, it has been claimed.
According to a poll by Cost Effective Web Design, more than three quarters (76 per cent) of business heads reported that they would increase the budget of their internet marketing campaigns this year, while 86 per cent said the internet would take up more of their advertising budget for 2009.
Paul Coulter of Cost Effective Web Design commented: “We think the results so far say a lot about current trends and the fact that web-based marketing offers businesses more bang for their buck.”
The news could be of interest to B2B marketers who utilitise business lists, database services and direct mail approaches to online marketing.
Meanwhile, an industry expert has heralded database management technology as profitable for marketing firms.
Ray Jones of the Chartered Institute of Marketing stated that such direct approaches are much more effective than generic mailing.
